In a smart port, the port value chain is transformed into an open and interconnected ecosystem in all areas. The digital transformation of the port to become a smart port requires not only the use of digital technologies, but also an appropriate digital strategy and a transformation of people. There will be no Smart Port without Smart People. In this sense, an important component of training, change management, transformation and acquisition of personal skills will be required to give an appropriate response to the new challenges of a smart port. Summary: In a smart port, the transformation of the port value chain into an open and interconnected ecosystem in all its areas is achieved. The digital transformation of the port to become a smart port requires not only the use of digital technologies, but also an appropriate digital strategy and a transformation of people. There will be no Smart Port without Smart People. In this sense, an important component of training, change management, transformation and acquisition of personal skills will be needed to give an appropriate response to the new challenges of a smart port.
