The metaverse creation has generated a myriad of reactions that goes from the most positive ones related to the celebration of the achievement of this great technology until the negatives which are linked with concerns of the users being distanced from what is “real”. Nevertheless, there is one controversial point that shall be examined: the world is beyond a new reality where professionals of Law will be demanded to adapt and furthermore, provide answers. Bearing this thought in mind, the aim of this current article provides a general knowledge to tackle these challenges and further, more specifically through a Compliance and Data Protection point of view. Throughout an intrigant spectrum, this article seeks to contribute to this complex and still non explored discussion.
